Students service\, test\, and ballast Seagliders\, plan dive missions\, pilot Seagliders\, and analyze data to address student-defined scientific objectives. Through this program\, students have worked with professional mentors to conduct research both locally and globally: studying circulation patterns in Puget Sound\, Washington State\, USA and effects of tropical instability waves in the Equatorial Pacific. By participating in the SSC\, students gain real-world experience conducting oceanographic research\, develop essential skills and experience for future careers\, and make meaningful contributions to the field of oceanography.
